Chords (Basics)
A chord is 3+ notes played together. The 3rd note tells your ear if it's major (bright) or minor (sad).
Major chords use the 1st, 3rd, and 5th notes of the major scale.
Minor chords lower that 3rd by one semitone — same shape, different feeling.
