Hey, I'm Zane.
I'm the producer, mixing/mastering engineer and tutor behind Mixhaven Academy.
I've spent years helping independent producers and artists improve their music — whether that's finishing their first track, understanding their mix, developing their production skills or getting a record ready for release.

FAQ
What's the difference between mixing and mastering?
Mixing balances and shapes all the individual parts of your song. Mastering is the final polish on the finished stereo mix — loudness, tone and consistency so it's ready for release.
How quickly will I receive my master?
Same-day where workload allows. I'll always let you know if it's going to take a little longer.
What files should I send for mastering?
A high-quality WAV export of your final mix at your project's native sample rate, with no limiter on the master bus, not clipping and not normalized.
How do revisions work?
Mastering includes 3 revisions. Just tell me what you'd like changed. Extra revisions are £10 each.
Are mentoring sessions suitable for complete beginners?
Absolutely. Sessions are built around you, whether you've never opened a DAW or you're finishing your tenth EP.
Which DAWs can you teach?
FL Studio especially, but the production, mixing and mastering principles apply to every DAW — Ableton, Logic, Cubase and more.
Do I have to use all my mentoring hours at once?
No. Spread your hours across as many sessions as you like.
Can I reschedule a session?
Yes — open My Services and use Edit Booking to pick a new time, up to 24 hours before your appointment. Rescheduling never costs extra.
What happens after I request a mixing quote?
I'll listen to what you've sent and email you a personal quote. If you're happy, you can pay from the email or from My Services and we get started.
