Sound Locker Contributor Agreement

You confirm that you own, or control, all the rights needed to upload the Material and to grant the licence below. That includes any recordings, performances, sound design and preset data in it.

You keep your copyright. Uploading does not transfer ownership of the Material to Mixhaven, and it does not place the Material in the public domain.

By uploading, you grant Mixhaven and every person who downloads the Material an irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable and royalty-free licence to use, copy, modify, distribute and incorporate the Material into personal and commercial projects, including released and monetised music.

You will not receive royalties or any payment from anyone's use of the Material. Users do not have to credit you.

Downloaders may not resell or redistribute the original files on their own, as a standalone sample or preset pack. This protects contributors and the Sound Locker.

Mixhaven may host, store, preview, display and distribute the Material through the Sound Locker, and may refuse or remove any upload at its discretion.

• Stolen or unauthorised third-party samples.
• Samples copied or extracted from commercial sample packs or services (for example Splice or Loopcloud) without redistribution rights. Buying a "royalty-free" sample does not give you the right to redistribute it.
• Copyrighted recordings or presets belonging to someone else, without their written permission.
• AI-generated or AI-assisted samples or presets.
• Any material you do not have permission to distribute under the licence in section 2.

You are responsible for everything you upload. If you upload Material that infringes someone else's rights, misrepresents where it came from, or is otherwise unlawful, you may be legally liable for it.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify Mixhaven against any claims, losses, damages and reasonable costs (including legal fees) that arise from your breach of this agreement or from Material you upload.

Nothing in this agreement limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Mixhaven may remove infringing or prohibited Material at any time, withdraw any rewards given for it, and suspend or close the accounts of people who break this agreement.

If you believe Material on the Sound Locker infringes your rights, use the Report button on the sound, or email info@mixhaven.uk with: your contact details, the sound's title or link, the work you believe is infringed, and a statement that your report is accurate and that you own (or act for the owner of) the rights.

We review reports promptly, may hide the Material while we investigate, and will remove it if the report is upheld. The contributor may be asked for evidence of their rights.

You must tick the agreement box before each upload. We record the version of this agreement you accepted and the date and time you accepted it. If we update this agreement, the new version applies to future uploads.
